Last minute break? First family holiday?
Beach or poolside feeding can be the easiest ever, it just depends on how covered up you prefer to be. If you’re happy to feed ‘out’ then you’re sorted. Many, however, like a little coverage, so here’s a few little notes for your holiday checklist…
Choosing your bikini/swimsuit – halter-neck tends to be a failsafe option, often giving good support between feeds too. If you’ve always had underwire, follow the same advice as it you were purchasing a bra, mastitis on holiday is not fun. Watch out for heavy padding, some you can remove but folding back a padded cup can get uncomfortable.
Cover ups – Get creative, sarongs and wraps double up as great cover-ups and are effectively oversized muslins 🙂 There’s lots of stretchy, low cut and loose-fitted beach cover-ups that will skim your figure whilst giving you a little discretion. Less faff and obvious than a wrap draped over you too.
Don’t forget to drink lots of water, stay safe in the sun and always make sure you little one is carefully protected. Otherwise, have fun! Holidays with younger babies are often that little bit easier, so lap it up whilst you can.
