Back in the game… shopaholic to searchaholic
When I started out breastfeeding I was so clueless about what to wear. There were several failed attempts at baggy shirts with ill-fitting nursing bras beneath, cringey wet patches due to slippage because of the constant FEAR that my nipple (if not my whole new big boob) might pop out and spray someone. Thankfully that never happened. Not accidentally anyway.
I was gladly not as shy as I expected to be, feeding in public but I did like a little modesty. I was just keen to get back into normal clothes and start feeling ‘me’ again. The mumsy middle-of-the-road nursing clothes did not appeal. The maternity clothes for nursing (huh?)… did you not expect me to look such a svelte size 16?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not some fashionista, far from it but I know what I like and I’m sure I’m not alone in my shopping habit. Well, turns out retail therapy is even more satisfying if you can’t spend the money on booze.
So, I went into search mode. I hope you guys can benefit from this new found challenge that I still pursue, whether breastfeeding or not. Call it habit, obsession or perhaps just me trying to give something back.
Anyway, it’s been a while, I’ve had time off going back to work 🙂 oh yeah and learning the ropes of toddlerville. But I’m back, refocussed and hoping to add value. Just maybe.
